**Also called:** Cap, Cappy
**Rarity:** Uncommon
**Inheritance:** Incomplete dominant
**Category:** Structure
**Typical adult price:** $400 to $1,200

**Definition.** A Cappuccino crested gecko carries the Cappuccino trait, which can alter pattern and pigmentation across a wide range of appearances; coffee-brown color or a saddle alone is not diagnostic.

A genetic trait with variable appearance across ages and combinations.

Cappuccino appearance varies with age, base color and other traits. Breeders often inspect the pale marking at the tail base in young animals together with the overall pattern and documented lineage. There is no universal coffee-brown body or clean-edged saddle that identifies every Cappuccino.

**History.** The project was developed in South Korea and later investigated through breeder collaborations, including Pangea.

**Key features:**
- Variable pigmentation and pattern
- A pale tail-base marking can be a clue in juveniles
- Confirmation depends on the breeder's documented line and evidence

**How to identify it:**
- Compare age-matched documented examples
- Do not identify it from brown color alone

**Lookalikes and how to tell them apart:**
- Frappuccino (https://geckinspect.com/MorphGuide/frappuccino): Frappuccino combines Cappuccino with Lilly White; appearance is variable and requires supporting lineage.

**Often combined with:** Lilly White, Soft Scale, Harlequin, Axanthic, Dalmatian
