Adults (35 g+), crested gecko care
Adult crested geckos are low-maintenance. Most care time becomes routine, feed three times a week, mist nightly, weigh monthly, and watch for behavior changes.
Level: beginner. Part of: Life Stages.
- Do not overfeed. Three CGD feedings per week keeps a non-breeder at ideal weight.
- Monthly weigh-ins and a brief visual check replace weekly handling.
- Annual reptile-vet wellness visit + fecal float is a reasonable baseline for a single adult.
- Plan for a potential 15 to 20 year relationship. Designate an emergency caretaker in case you travel, move, or have an accident.
