Luwak Crested Gecko
A Luwak crested gecko carries one Cappuccino copy and one Sable copy, which sit on the same gene in the widely reported model, so a Luwak is never a super.
Luwak is the name for a gecko with one Cappuccino copy and one Sable copy. Under the widely reported one-gene model, Cappuccino and Sable are two versions of the same gene, so a gecko holds at most two copies between them: a Luwak has one of each and is never a Super Cappuccino or a Super Sable. Cappuccino x Sable gives about 25% Luwak and can never make a super, which is why it is the safer way to combine the two. Luwak x Luwak is different: about 25% Super Cappuccino, 25% Super Sable and 50% Luwak. MorphMarket's Morphpedia still lists Sable's place on the Cappuccino gene as suspected, so Geck Inspect badges Luwak Emerging. Looks vary, and dark color alone does not identify one; the parents do.
Do not pair a Luwak to another Luwak or to a Cappuccino: both can make Super Cappuccinos. A Luwak bred to a normal gives Cappuccinos and Sables, about half each, under the one-gene model.
Inheritance: Incomplete dominant. Category: Combination. Rarity: rare.
