Recessive crested gecko morphs
Two copies required for visual expression. A single copy produces a "het" (heterozygous) carrier that looks normal but can pass the gene to offspring. 4 morphs in the guide are recessive.
Albino is listed as recessive because albinism is recessive in other reptiles, but breeding has not proven it in crested geckos yet. The first healthy albinos hatched in March 2026.
